About Vincent
Vincent founded Everything About Vienna and has been a passionate Vienna explorer since 2010. Originally from the Netherlands, he now lives in Austria and visits Vienna year-round to keep the site fresh, relevant, and packed with practical travel tips.
With a background in writing and digital content, Vincent has a sharp eye for detail and a deep curiosity about how cities work. He loves wandering through the lesser-known districts, finding the best coffee (and cake), and figuring out the fastest tram route to wherever you’re going. Everything you read on this site is based on real experiences, not just what’s in the brochures.
Before settling in Austria, Vincent lived in Australia for almost three years, where he worked for the country’s largest youth hostel network. There, he helped countless travellers (and considered himself one of them) discover the real Melbourne beyond the tourist hotspots. This experience strengthened his belief that the best travel memories are made when you go beyond the obvious.
From traditional inns to local street food, from imperial palaces to graffiti-covered side streets – Vincent’s goal is to help you explore Vienna with both confidence and curiosity.
About Daniela
Daniela was born and raised in Austria and spent 27 years living in Amsterdam before returning to her home country – bringing with her a deep love for both cultures. Vienna has always played a central role in her life, whether as a weekend getaway or a place of inspiration and tradition.
Thanks to her Austrian roots and personal experience as a long-time local, Daniela adds a unique perspective to the site. She knows how things really work in Vienna: from cultural customs and local dialects to the best places for a quiet walk or a traditional Heuriger evening.
Her input ensures that Everything About Vienna stays authentic, nuanced, and true to the spirit of the city.
